Surgery… *sigh*. Now I’m not saying I went into this rotation with a closed mind. However, this does not mean that I could completely tune out the rumors from my fellow medical students who had already completed the rotation.

Psychiatry. For me, the experience of this rotation was one of the most surprising of all. But looking back and reflecting on who I am as an individual, maybe I shouldn’t have been in the slightest.
Just when I thought I was getting the hang of Pediatrics, I was quickly thrown into a whole different world of medicine: OB/GYN.
Finally! STEP 1 was behind me, and the long-awaited end to my second year of medical school was here. As any medical student can attest to, the first two years of medical school are grueling; they challenge every fiber of your mind and body on a daily basis.
Internal Medicine. Where all those long nights of cramming incessant amounts of information into my head during the first 2 years of medical school would finally pay off! That’s what I thought going into this rotation at least, but would that turn out to be the reality?
